Tonight I attended a 'Young Women of Influence' presentation featuring Jennifer Wong, Chief Operating Officer for Aritzia. When I wasn't fantasizing about the fabulous wardrobe that Wong inevitably has claim to, I gleaned some common sense business savvy from the long-time Aritzia devotee. Following the session, I had the opportunity to speak with many of the attendees and was thrilled to meet accomplished, intelligent and just all around friendly women. It's refreshing to see women who root for each other and support one another in success. The Vancouver-based clothier drew me to the event, but the women I met made an impression that went far beyond their clothing. So the next time you see a women who is beautiful inside or out, don't get jealous, just get inspired!

One of my fave things about Spring are the wedge sandals ithat come with it. You get height and comfort at the same time, what more could you ask for in a shoe?

The Juno Awards recognize Canada's most talented artists, but talent does not a fashionista make...
I am repeatedly disappointed while scolling through red carpet photos and the Junos were no exception. Jeanne Beker (Fashion Television) has been a major force in introducing Canadians to global style and, likewise, bringing Canadian designs to the world. Canadians have stepped up their style game but sadly there was no proof of that at one of our most notable homegrown award shows. Though appearing rather casual for the occasion, Dragonette's Martina Sorbara beat out the rest of the Canadian crew where wardrobe is concerned . Runner-up was fellow performer Lights, whose dress was not overly inspired (and who could have been mistaken for a secretary) but did not incite my gag reflex all the same. Sorry Ms.Beker, we'll do better next time...
