ZENERGY COMMUNICATIONS Launched the GREENZEN LOUNGE During TIFF 2011: One of the greenest tickets at TIFF this year was the GREENZEN LOUNGE just around the corner from the TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX. Created by Zenergy Communications to celebrate local green companies in Toronto during the film festival, this was an exciting opportunity for a select invited few to discover what Green can mean to consumers. The room was bathed in green lighting and a couple of Toronto’s hottest DJs (DJs Christopher Baby & Eric Error) spun some cool sounds while guests were greeted at the door with GLACE Rare Iceberg Water and handed gift baggies of eco-friendly goodies on the way out. While at the event, amidst plenty of conversations and connection-making, guests also enjoyed hors d’oeurves from “the naked sprout”, beer from Toronto brewery “Amersterdam Brewing Company”, wine from “the living vine” and teas from “DavidsTea”. I especially enjoyed meeting the ladies from Smith Farms – a Quebec company, run by two sisters who grow the products they use or use local products to make their skincare line. They are also environmentally conscious about their packaging and a Canadian based company. Not to mention their lavender hand cream smelled like heaven for hours after one application! “As an eco-conscious company, we are honored to host this event showcasing and supporting others that strive to raise awareness of environmental issues,” states Linda Farha, President of Zenergy Communications of the event. “Unlike other lounges that operate via appointments over many days, we wanted to do something different and create an amazing one-night only exclusive Lounge.” We had to agree with Linda Farha that the social atmosphere was much more fun for guests. One of the most pleasant aspects of the GreenZen Lounge was the participation of Montreal artist Kevin Jenne who created a special painting to be bid on during a silent auction, with all the proceeds going to the Farha Foundation. Kevin’s painting was stunning and definitely a conversation piece. Schmoozing was to be had. Everyone was in a pleasant and festive mood. The event was a smash hit to be sure! The GreenZen Lounge featured the following companies: The Amsterdam Brewing Company, credobags, c-Seven Media Inc., DavidsTea, gel’nbath, GLACE Rare Iceberg Water, GreenEnvy, the living vine, Never Not House, the naked sprout, PCL Graphics, Smith Farms, Vitality, xdesign, Donna Santos Many of the companies and their websites are featured in our slideshow, so be sure to check-out the slideshow to learn more about these great companies being quite often socially, environmentally and customer conscious!
