David Cronenberg's films have often been accused of messing with the minds of the audience, but in the case of A Dangerous Method, he's messing with the minds of the original guys that made a living out of clinically messing with people's minds: Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. In Method, Freud is played by Viggo Mortensen, and Jung is played by Michael Fassbender. The film chronicles not just the meeting of the two minds that invented psycho-analysis, but follows Jung as he embarks on an affair with patient Sabina Spielrein played by Keira Knightly.

There's a lot of pre-release buzz for Method, some of it coming from the Awards season rush; Mortensen has received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor, for instance. All that buzz though started last fall at the Toronto International Film Festival, where the film received its Canadian premiere. A Dangerous Method will be in theatres on Friday, January 13th, but in the meantime, you can hear from the cast and crew courtesy of the Press+1 seat at TIFF. Click play on the video after the jump.
