Mr. DGerry tries to get his dream job in the Phys-Ed department but the competition is harder than it seems.

Written By Aaron Bala

The Recap: When news breaks that Mr. Webster abruptly left his job teaching gym at Xavier Academy, Gerry finally spies his chance to move into the position he desired all along when he first got here. Vice Principal Cheeley, meanwhile, finds something he desires too when he meets the new student teacher Rebecca who will be shadowing Lisa.

Gerry does his best to size up his competition talking with two of the other candidates, Karl, who has had his arm amputated (Gerry is confused how he will be able to teach the kids vital skills like ‘throwing in’ a soccer ball) and Jeff, who Gerry is convinced is his twin (Gerry’s the only one that sees it). He’s also on the hunt to find out why Mr. Webster got fired and learns from one student that it was because he had an affair with another student. Gerry is shocked at the news, but even more shocked when he finally sees the student who looks like the love child of Cousin It and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. mrdjobopp

Rebecca’s good looks are helping her however to bond with the students, much to Lisa chagrin. But what she makes up for in looks, she lacks in intelligence, telling the kids to dress casual (despite the fact that they have to wear uniforms) and explaining to the children how she was a hooker for a short time in Amsterdam when she ran out of money. Cheeley gives her a great recommendation letter nonetheless and tries to get a date from her, but the wind is knocked out of his sails when Lisa reminds him that she doesn’t even have his number.

When Gerry finally gets to interview for the open teaching job he is quickly struck down by Vice Principal Cheeley and the female phys-ed teacher Bobbi. They tell him that they’re giving the job to Jeff instead. Gerry is saddened by this at first, but quickly realizes why in a way only Gerry can, because Jeff looks and acts so much like Gerry, it is proof of how much they need to keep Gerry in the social sciences department. He also finally finds out that Mr. Webster had to leave because his wife was moving due to work, not for having an affair with a student.
