The name “Kooza” is inspired by the Sanskrit word “koza” which means “box,” “chest,” or “treasure,” and it was chosen because one of the concepts of the production is a “circus in a box.” Writer and The story follows a character called The Innocent as he is led on a journey of discovery by The Trickster. The Innocent comes into contact with a variety of comic characters such as the King, the Heimloss, the Pickpocket, the Obnoxious Tourist, and his Bad Dog. “The show is very, very funny. The audience will be on the edge of their seats the entire show,” says Emilie Nadeau, a representative of Cirque du Soleil.
