December 15th 2010 – Press+1 is very pleased to announce that Adam A. Donaldson is the new Editor-At-Large for one of Canada’s largest independent online magazines. “I have known Adam for many years and worked previously with him” says Editor-in-Chief Kindah Mardam Bey, “it has been a long-standing objective of mine to procure this talented, innovative, resourceful, and ambitious Editor for Press+1.

Adam A. Donaldson has had an extensive career in journalism and has been an editor for multiple publications. Donaldson is a writer, journalist, filmmaker and promoter. Donaldson cut his journalism chops at the The Ontarion straight from University where he served as Arts & Culture Editor and later Editor-in-Chief. Additionally, Adam has served as Managing Editor of Lucid Media and has been a contributor to the Guelph Mercury, the Guelph Tribune, thecannon.ca, Echo Weekly, Women’s Post, New Theatre Review and End Type. Adam has also made several short films including “Spooky Kids”, “Environmental Science”, “Zombie Apocalypse” and “Ready/S.E.T./Dunk”, and works extensively with Synn Studios, a progressive multi-media production company based in Guelph.

Adam has all the skills of a natural leader for our extensive list of journalists across Canada. Surprise!

Yes, as you undoubtedly have noticed by now, Press+1 has a new face and a new logo. For the past few months, the team behind Press+1 have diligently been working on improving the look and feel of our magazine, while still being committed to bringing you the best in arts & entertainment coverage with a Canadian blend. And here it is.

Along with our fancy new logo, and bigger slideshow at the top of the screen, we’ve made a number of other improvements as well. Scroll down to your right, you will have easy access to the latest in reviews; scroll down to your left and you’ll see our Facebook link and connections to the XOXOJes...CelebNews blog and the TVCritic.org podcast. The Featured Review Section and the Video Interviews are still there as well, just now you hopefully won’t have to scroll down as long.

In addition, you can check out Press+1’s brand new Comic Section, which will offer the latest in comic news, interviews, articles and reviews with the type of coverage you’ve come to expect from Press+1. We also have a new Breaking News section where you can find cool casting news, trailers, press releases and other scoop presented in a quick, easy-to-read format.

Anyway, we hope you like the changes. We certainly do. And please try and bear with us as we continue to make upgrades and improvements to Press+1 as we strive to prove why we are the online destination for arts & entertainment coverage in Canada!

Press+1 Publicity Makes First Major Partnership Announcement Print E-mail

TORONTO, Feb 16th 2010....Press+1 Publicity is pleased to announce its involvement with the Babes For Breasts (B4B) 2010 National Touring Benefit Concert. B4B is organizing a four city cross-Canada benefit tour in September and October.

Kindah Mardam Bey has signed on to the position of Executive Director for the Babes For Breasts concert tour. Press+1 will be at the helm of the B4B 2010 publicity and promotions.

“We are thrilled to have Kindah Mardam Bey and Press+1 as a driving force for the 2010 Babes For Breasts tour,” says Ana Miura, founder of Babes For Breasts. “Kindah's strong leadership and organizational skills are rivalled only by her creativity and enthusiasm; all of which will serve her well as our Executive Director. With a fresh energy and plans for bigger and brighter shows, the B4B team looks forward to continuing to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer. We will fight ‘The Big C’ with our big C's: Contribution, Creativity, Community and Connection.”

With the 2010 tour, B4B aims to increase the quality of the benefit concert in order to achieve greater impact. Tour dates will be in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, and will feature well-known Canadian singer/songwriters and substantially bigger host venues than previous years. The Press+1 Publicity team will provide cross-Canada promotion on a multimedia platform, utilizing social media, radio, television and print, as well as help to organize and execute the event.
