The Toronto International Film Festival has taken on a new and exciting challenge this last week, extending from the success of their Sprockets film festival for youths, the Next Wave Film Festival is focused towards the 14-18 age group. Next Wave not only looks to attract young adults but also involves a high level of participation from them. The entire film festival was programmed by the 14-18 age demographic.

Most people eat at least some organic food in their diet these days, but many don’t know what the word "organic" means, or why it’s better for us. This film helps to shed light on what organic really means, and also shows how the system of USDA organic certification is flawed by being more concerned with profit than the philosophy of organic farming. Other systemic flaws with the food system are also discussed as the film covers many related issues.
