TAYLOR LAUTNER TAKES ON NEW ROLE
The "Twilight" actor will star in a 3-D action adventure called "Stretch Armstrong" based on the Hasbro toy. The film is scheduled to be released in 2012. Lautner will play the main rubbery superhero character. The busy actor also has other films lined up, such as "Max Steel", "Northern Lights", "Cancun" and the last installment of the "Twilight saga".
DIVERSITY NOT REPRESENTED ON VANITY FAIR COVER
The "New Hollywood" Vanity Fair issue has been causing a stir. The cover is meant to depict this year's up and coming starlets. However, neither Gabby Sidibe nor Zoe Saldana were included. Gabby Sidibe starred in "Precious", which earned her an Oscar nomination, and Zoe Saldana starred in "Star Trek" and "Avatar", the number-one film of all time. The cover did include Kristen Stewart, Carey Mulligan, Amanda Seyfried, Rebecca Hall, Mia Wasikowska, Emma Stone, Evan Rachel Wood and Anna Kendrick. Vanity Fair's rebuttal is that the actresses were partly chosen due to the star's availability.
LIL WAYNE LOOKS FORWARD TO JAIL
Lil Wayne told Rolling Stone magazine that no one can tell him what jail will be like for him. When people ask about how he feels, he responds with, "I'm looking forward to it." The rapper also says he plans to work on music while in jail. He has received a twelve month sentence, based on a felony charge.

 Mel Gibson verus Dean Richards
A reporter, Dean Richards, brought up Mel Gibson's past drinking problems and anti-semitism during a French televised interview. Mel Gibson, who has a reputation of getting angry during interviews, immediately displayed some irritation. Once the interview was over, Gibson bad-mouthed Richards while thinking he was off air. Gibson's excuse? He was swearing at his publicist, not Richards, for making funny faces. Was Dean Richards out of line for bringing up a five-year-old issues? Or does Mel Gibson need to take a chill pill?

Actress Charlize Theron and a handsome mystery man have been seen on a romantic date at the infamous Chateau Marmont in L.A. The Oscar winner just recently broke off her former relationship with Stuart Townsend over the holidays.
