Louise L. Hay is a highly respected author, publisher and speaker. She created Hay House and much of the personal development strategy we embrace in society today can find its roots in Hay’s publication You Can Heal Your Life. Since 1984, Louise L. Hay’s definitive manifesto on personal growth and well-being You Can Heal Your Life has been in regular syndication. Each generation seems to newly find and celebrate this author’s steadfast philosophies that hold true under all microscopes. Louise L. Hay always likes to remind readers she is simply a normal person who sought progression and betterment in her life and achieved it, so if she can do it, so can any of us.

Alone, the book You Can Heal Your Life was published in 35 countries and in to 29 different languages, is a must-have resource on anyone’s bookshelf who wishes to take charge of their own personal growth. The book embraces the ideas that what we think we will feel and what we will feel will either provide us with a well of strength or manifest into an aggressive illness. Hay says we make the choices that create these results, which is incredibly empowering as we have the power to change our thoughts and inevitably change our lives. The book is also a resource guide of organizations that can help to facilitate personal growth. Possibly the most well known aspect of this book is the chart Hay compiled close to thirty years ago of illness, the probable emotional cause and the new thought pattern that, once repeated often until you believe it, will bring about progression, change and even wellness. What an awe-inspiring thought!

Paired with the book to compile the box set is the DVD companion You Can Heal Your Life, originally released in 2007. Authors and speakers such as Dr. Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Cheryl Richardson, Doreen Virtue, Christine Northrup, Mona Lisa Schulz and so many more are interviewed and compile a highly effective and influential DVD on how you can actually heal your life. Each author and speaker relays a similar theme, but each will give the viewer tools, new ways of understanding and a clear direction in which to start. This is a fantastic DVD and I have recommended the Book & the DVD regularly in readings as a starting point for people ready to propel their lives forward. Plus the DVD has such a bevy of authors to choose from, this is like a sampling of their theories which you can then do a greater follow-up with in their own books if you are inspired by what they are saying on the DVD.

You Can Heal Your life is a wonderful gift set filled with words of wisdom and techniques to live by. The book will inspire you to do better with your life. Slowly work through the book and DVD to heal your mind, body and soul. I would highly recommend this box set – DVD & Book - a complete guide to a better you. I must also note the price point for the box set is fantastic and very reasonable.
