From the Kitchens of Martha Stewart Living comes Everyday Food: Fresh Flavor Fast, 250 easy, delicious recipes for anytime of day. Martha Stewart and her team strike again - what a fabulous book! This is a collection of recipes that can be used over and over again. A hefty sized, door-stop weighted book, these recipes are often a simple but unique way to change a standard recipe to make it more delightful to the palette.

The book is divided up into traditional sections of a cookbook: Breakfast, Sandwiches/Burgers/Pizza, Appetizers, Salads, Soups/Stews, Pasta, Main Courses, Side Dishes, & Desserts. The book also comes with some great sections at the back – tips and techniques, basic recipes, cook’s guide, and nutritional information for each recipe. Every one of the recipes also shows a timer of approximately how much time each meal should take to make. The first book in this series, Great Food Fast, is organized by season and Fresh Flavor Fast is organized according to dishes. In the introduction, Martha Stewart assures us that this book can act as a “natural companion” to Great Food Fast.

Martha Stewart's books have a way of making even the simplest selection of cookies look like divine intervention has taken place. So, obviously, all the photographs in Fresh Flavor Fast make every recipe look beautiful and delicious. Well laid out, very comprehensive recipes; this is a book you will use over and over again.

Fresh Flavor Fast has lots of vegetarian recipes which is great for vegetarians or those who wish to add some vegetarian options to their weekly routine.

My Picks: Manhattan Fish Chowder (Pg.102), Pasta with Roasted Summer Vegetables & Basil, Tilapia with Arugula and Tomatoes (Pg.234), Cauliflower Gratin (Pg.292), Orange Cornmeal Cake (Pg.314)
